Planner Registration
For the past 12 years, we have all enjoyed the Meeting Planners' Expo. It was a great event for learning, networking, and connecting with one another. Thank you to all who have participated over the years. Now, it's time for something new!
The Planning Connection is excited to bring you the Meeting Professionals Retreats. We are offering a vibrant new way of learning and networking. We are going to Prairie Creek Lodge, a relaxing serene location where you can embrace the natural surroundings, and enjoy a fun and exciting learning experience among colleagues.
Collectively, our knowledge makes a completed puzzle. We can learn more about each piece of the puzzle from a group than from any one person. Everyone has something to contribute whether it is a question, solution, or relating an experience.
Group interaction is the key to "putting the pieces of a meeting together." Together we can share what obstacles we face and how to overcome them, share different insights of what has made meetings successful and what actions to take for ones that weren't as successful. Whether you are new or an experienced planner, the Meeting Professionals Retreat is a great way to learn, network, and build relationships within the industry.

Who Should Attend?
Anyone who plans at least one meeting or event per year outside of Gainesville, Florida.
Registration:
Retreat Fee: $40
This is a refundable fee to those who attend the entire retreat. Fee is not reimbursed to those who do not attend.

Fee must be received by March 1, 2012
Only 25 spaces available - Register early
Fee includes bus ride, break, lunch with suppliers, and appointments.
Registration will not be available on the day of the event, due to limited space.
What to Wear:
Dress is casual - jeans, shorts, whatever clothes that are comfortable for you. We plan to conduct the meetings outside, weather permitting. Be sure to check the weather the day before to decide what to wear.
What to Bring:
Reused Items - In an effort to be environmentally conscious, we are asking attendees to bring a few useful items they may have saved from another event.
- Bag - We all have bags from other conferences or events; please bring one with you to collect collateral from suppliers
- Badge Holder - If you have a favorite badge holder from another event, please bring it with you. We will provide a 3x4" name card.
- Refillable Water Bottle - Water will be provided. If you don't have a bottle to bring, cups will be provided on-site.
Business Cards - To share with planners and suppliers
RFP - If you have an RFP, bring it to hand out to suppliers; or maybe to use during one of the discussion forums. If you don't have one, it's not a problem.
Seat Pad or Towel - Meetings will be held outside on the lawn, weather permitting. If you wish to bring something to sit on, feel free. Chairs will be available.
Cancellation:
There are only 25 seats available. Please let us know via email if you cannot attend, so that someone else may use your seat. jackie@planningconnection.com
All requests for cancellation must be made in writing and received no later than March 1, 2012. THERE WILL BE NO REFUND FOR CANCELLATION AFTER March 1, 2012. If registrant does not show up on day of event, no refund will be due.
